Peanut Butter and Fried Bananas Sandwich

Summary: Screw Powerbars. Don’t buy overpriced trendy bricks when you can make your own gooey delicious energy packed sandwiches on the cheap!

Ingredients:

  • Banana, sliced into 1/2″ thick coins
  • Vegetable Oil (1 teaspoon)
  • Peanut Butter
  • Bread (2 slices)


Directions:

1. Heat pan on medium-high, add oil.
2. Add bananas and toss in pan and saute until golden brown. Should be pretty quick. Take off heat.
3. Slather some peanut butter on the bread.
4. Add bananas.

Cost:
Like 50 cents? Cheaper than a Powerbar. And more natural I bet. I usually use really ripe bananas for this.

Final comments:
The heat from the bananas will make the peanut butter extra soft and gooey. Eating one of these before hitting the gym will give you some serious fuel. Inspired by Elvis!
